Bowl Care

When properly taken care of, your sculptural wood vessel should last for generations.

Every finished piece at Zach LaPerriere Wood Art is sealed with food-grade oil.

If you purchased a functional wood art bowl, use it as you wish for displaying fruit, serving salad, pasta, popcorn, but not for hot foods such as soup.

When done, wipe dry. Or, you may wash with a wet cloth (soap is okay), then wipe dry, and leave in a warm, dry place to dry fully.

Please don’t soak your bowl in water. Dishwashers and microwaves are not okay!

Occasionally wipe your sculptural wood vessel with walnut oil. With proper care your wood art piece will last for generations.

ALLERGY NOTE:   PEOPLE WHO ARE SENSITIVE TO NUT OILS SHOULD NEVER USE ONE OF THESE BOWLS.

The walnut oil I use has been "de-natured"—which means that the most of proteins have been removed, but these bowls are still potentially allergenic.

On occasion I finish bowls with pure Danish Oil.  This finish is available upon special request.  Just drop me a line...
