Wood Art Bowls For Nature-Lovers
So You Can Stay Connected To Nature Even When You're Inside Your Home..."I was hesitant to order a bowl because I've never bought art online before, but it arrived and is more beautiful than in the photos! Holding it, feels like holding Mother Nature in my hands. I will cherish it, Zach."

It's well known that interacting with nature makes us happier and healthier.
But I bet you didn't know that developing a relationship with a piece of ancient forest does the same.
Holding it, exploring its grain & contemplating its life story deeply satisfies your cravings for more nature in your life.
It's just plain healing.
And my mission is to help you experience the joy & wonder I feel for trees.
Because I know when you feel connected with nature, you're happier and healthier.
In my own life, I've seen what a difference deepening my relationship with trees (and forests) has made.
And I wanted to create art that gives you a shortcut to explore the depth & beauty of the magnificent trees I've carefully selected.
I have no doubt that as you spend time with your own special piece of ancient forest, your connection to trees (and nature) will grow stronger.
Each wood art piece is designed as an exploration of the tree it came from, not just as a pretty (or useful) object.
People tell me all the time that my work inspires meaningful conversations about trees and wilderness.
And it will help you connect to trees and forests on a daily basis—satisfying unknown longings while also beautifying your home.
"Zach's process is extremely rare. He does it allâthere are no middle men. From selecting the tree to harvesting it to painstakingly hauling it out of the forest and turning it into a work of art... it's a one man show. And the results speak for themselves."
â Mark
Each wood art piece I create is one-of-a-kind.
Hand-salvaged from an ancient tree here in Alaska's Tongass National Forest.
If a piece speaks to you, follow your gut and grab it while you can. You don't want to miss your chance to get your special piece of ancient forestâthere are no duplicates!

"I wanted to give my niece a wedding gift that stood outâsomething she couldn't get anywhere. I wanted it to be one of those pieces that will stay in the family, that will be handed down. And it has that story that gets passed on."

Do You Cut Living Trees?
Never.
All of the old-growth wood I use is hand-salvaged from Alaska's Tongass National Forest with special use permits obtained from the USFS.
In fact, I am proud to say that my wood art business uses 100% sustainable forestry practices.
I carefully harvest & remove select portions of dead, salvaged trees, leaving the rest of the forest ecosystem to continue thriving!
When you purchase a wood art piece from me, it's a double win: You get a beautiful piece of ancient forest to treasure for years and years...
AND you're supporting a renaissance of artists and highly skilled craftspeople forging their livelihoods from a small-scale, sustainable forestry industry here in SE Alaska.
