Width: 11.75 inches
Height: 5 inches
Made from an old-growth, hand-salvaged Western Hemlock tree stump from the Tongass National Forest in Sitka, Alaska.
This one-of-a-kind art piece took two years to complete—a lot of which was time I spent babysitting the wood as it slowly dried and stabilized.
The prominent natural voids and iridescent, feather-like figure in the rim give this fine piece a complexity that inspires curiosity and conversation.
The smooth surfaces were finely sanded to a smooth polish and sealed with food-grade tung & citrus oils.
